The Fayre View Restaurant Diss

Welcome to The Fayre View Restaurant which is situated in a grade II listed building dating back to 1560 overlooking the picturesque fair green which is believed to be the oldest part of Diss.

The Fayre View Restaurant building itself housed the Post Office at the start of the 20th Century and has recently undergone a major refurbishment throughout, making the ideal setting for a restaurant with its exposed beams and large inglenook fireplaces. With a bar area, conservatory, outside terrace and three separate dining areas it is ideal for intimate meals or larger parties.

Opened by chef and proprietor, Chris Gissing, in August 2003, The Fayre View quickly became reknowned for offering an excellent dining experience in relaxing surroundings.

Our aim is still the same; to use the finest in local ingredients to produce classic menus with a modern twist which are continually changing to make use of the best, local, seasonal produce.
